Wow the last few days have been really hard. Everyone I am speaking with has been expressing concerns, feeling unsafe, not sleeping well and experiencing great sadness.
By the way, children are feeling it too. They are picking up on the energy, feeling overwhelmed and seeing their parents concern. It is so important to acknowledge their fears and bring some mindful tools into the home to help them deal with the stress.
This energy of polarity we are experiencing now has reached an all time high. If you follow the astrological world it is written in the stars. This alignment will continue till the end of January so it is important to be proactive in the home. 🌙
How do we help children navigate the uncertainty in America right now?
Have them express their feelings. In my book "The Bright Blue Balloon" I suggest drawing a balloon and putting all their feelings into the ballon and then close their eyes, take a deep breath and let it go. Have them hold a crystal, light a candle, burn some sage.
After they express their feelings of fear, sadness and concern then switch to thinking about the positive. In my book "Life is a Rainbow" we talk about imagining a rainbow after the storm. In my free meditation I tell children to feel the energy and colors of the rainbow as we wrap them in a rainbow blanket filled with light. When my kids were little we used this Sarah's Silks rainbow scarf and wrapped them in it as we imagined the colors filling our bodies with light. 🌈
Find your way to connect to a vibration of peace. I do a sunrise walk every day in Galisteo, New Mexico. During my walk I breathe and appreciate the beauty around me. I often bring home stones or leaves from my walk and keep them on a nature table in my home. When I look at the nature table throughout the day I can connect with that vibration of peace.☀️
So the recipe for giving peace a chance is
1) 🌟Feel your feeling and let them go
3) 🌟Focus on the positive, Imagine a rainbow blanket of love and light wrapped around you
4) 🌟find a place that feels peaceful and take a walk with your kids
5) 🌟Along the way pick up stones, twigs, flowers, leaves and add to your nature table
6) 🌟and... remember to breath, breathe love into your heart and peace into you solar plexus
